Talk about determination to fulfill a dream! Robert’s got that!

While working full time and raising a family he fulfilled all the educational and training requirements to become a Certified Radiologic Technologist. His journey took seven years but he stuck with it and achieved his dream.

Since 1999 he’s been living out that dream as a fully certified MRI and CT technologist here at El Portal Imaging Center. His dedication and enthusiasm still show up everyday as Robert performs both MRI and CT scans. He beams as he describes the equipment he gets to work with here at El Portal. “Not only do we have the latest MRI and CT machines” he explains, “but we also continuously upgrade them with the latest software. Plus the techs receive on-going training as needed.”

Robert’s most recent training trip was to Seattle, Washington where he learned coronary CT Angiography (CTA). This innovative scanning procedure allows physicians to see cardiovascular anatomy and function formerly obtained only by invasive catheter angiography. The coronary CTA can be completed in just a few minutes and allows the physicians to see in advance whether any further procedures are necessary. Often invasive angiography can be averted because of the information provided by the CTA.

Robert’s daily goal is to provide excellent customer service. He explains, “Because of El Portal Imaging’s excellent staff support and our superb scanning systems I know that my patients are receiving the best service possible. That keeps my dream fulfilled everyday!”
